Hey Inhabitat readers!

Welcome to September! With a brand new month comes a fresh new season filled with a wealth of incredible design events! Next week our future-forward fashionistas will be hitting the shows at New York Fashion Week to bring you the hottest sustainable styles, and we're also gearing up to bring you the best of the London Design Festival from September 18 - 26. We're also excited for West Coast Green, which kicks off on September 30th, and San Francisco's Architecture and the City Festival, which runs all month long. Finally, we'd like to thank everyone who entered last week's Back to School Backpack Giveaway and extend congratulations to our winner, Laura AKA Sassfactory!  Check out her incredibly penned lyrics (sung to the tune of Queen's "We are the Champions"):

I’ve gone back to school

time after time;
I’ve had the same backpack
since 1999.
Eco mistakes;
I’ve made a few…
But through high school, college, and now my MFA,
But I’ve learned to reuse!

I’m a recycler, my friend!
And I’ll keep on fighting – till the end!
I’m a recycler – I’m a recycler!
No time for garbage,
‘Cause I’m a recyclin’ – kind of girl!
