Simply no easy way to state this; therefore, I will just jump right in. After recent prospective partners dropped out of the mix, we have been cornered into a tenuous position where we cannot continue to operate Carter's Play Place. As many of you are aware, we are locally, family-owned business. Carter, himself, has been a staple at our gym just about every single weekend since we opened. We had high hopes to be able to finally bring a sensory-friend kids' gym to our local community.
We have had the pleasure of serving several school districts hosting field trips for schools and centers alike. Also, we have hosted a countless number of birthday parties. Parties we were so grateful to be able to host. I imagine a lot of great memories were made within these walls. Trust me, I wish we could make many more.
As a family with a special needs child, this past year has been easily the toughest we ever experienced. However, we did this for the hope that it would be sustainable for a long time providing great services for our community. Our goal was to integrate occupational and/or other therapies hosted in our gym in addition to our current services provided, and we were so close to achieving that.
We recently found out that another kids place in Noblesville is ending their open play and birthday party services on August 25th. Definitely saddens us to have to cut our services (entire gym) out around the same time.
We would absolutely love to keep going and growing, and we are completely open to an investor/partnership opportunities. If you or anyone you know might be interested, we would be more than willing to talk to them However, if we continue on with no leads, we will be forced to shut our doors this month, and we absolutely are aware of how little probability we have -- really a miracle at this stage of the game.
We are looking at shutting our doors at the end of Sunday, August 27th.
Birthday parties booked after the 26th will be fully refunded
Recent passes bought will be fully reimbursed
We would love to accommodate everyone of you out there; however, our funds our extremely limited
We love you all. Nancy and I worked selflessly every single weekend to meet and spend time with all the wonderful people in and even outside our community. I am so proud of our staff and all the hard work they put in. Today, tomorrow, and at least the immediate future will be extremely difficult for all of us. So we ask to please take that into consideration.
Thank you for all your support!
