MiTechKids: Free technology lessons for gradesK-5
The REMC Association's MiTechKids website is an amazing plethora of *free* technology integrated lessons/task cards for students. Teachers have all the tools at hand to pre-plan a 5 - 15 minute teaching moment, plus the steps for the students to do the activities. The activities are designed to take up 45-minutes and can be used over multiple days depending on the lesson.

Educators are getting started with Open Educational Resources, called OER. To provide support, the REMC Association is offering “Dive into OER” with the goal of building a statewide network of advocates and facilitators to train peers. These individuals will learn about OER and the #GoOpen Michigan website during a two-day workshop, and then share this information within their school communities.

If you’ve never taken an online course, you owe it to yourself to try one of our Virtual Courses. 

Online learning is easier than you think!  Seven courses are offered every month. Simply pick the course that meets your needs and register online. Every course is free and offers 10 free SCECHs. Each course is open for three weeks and consists of two (2) one-hour webinars and four (4) to eight (8) hours of resource review, assessment developments and written reflection. They are taught by real Michigan educators, with years of classroom experience. They are accessible and available to help you, should you have questions or need assistance.

The Regional Educational Media Center Association of Michigan promotes the transformative use of technology and provides Michigan schools with access to educational resources to help teachers increase student success.
