Enrichment Workshop
Hello from the DOF Foundation!
We can't wait to share our August Enrichment Workshop with you all!
Kicking off our Enrichment Workshop, Dr. Dotun Ogunyemi walked our mentees through a mental phenomena know as A.N.T.S. - Automatic Negative Thoughts - depicting the various forms of ANTS we deal with on a regular basis, the harmful remifactions they can pose on an  indivudals professional, academic, and personal identity, and various methods to cope and subdue these rampant thoughts through the excercise of positive thinking and thoughtful planning.
Our very own MD Student, Marilyn Corrales, gave a wonderful and engaging presentation on Colorectal Cancer, breaking down the signs, symptoms and treatments of the cancer to both student and physician alike. Her presentation was well received for its informative, yet concise approach, and was encouraged to save it for future professional reference.
We had the wonderful privilege of receiving a physician's words of wisdom form Dr. William Goffney, a surgical oncologist with an extensive history in medical practice. Dr. Goffney shared a wonderful account of his exciting childhood adventures, the wonderful lessons he learned from his father about integrity and perseverance, and his most memorable moments throughout his history in medical practice. We thank Dr. William Goffney for his extraordinary testimony!
