Autism Research Participants Needed
Writing Practices Research
A graduate student in the Dept. of English is researching the writing practices of U of I students with an ASD. This project involves conducting interviews with students who self-identify as having an ASD and are interested in sharing their experiences with writing both in and outside of the classroom. Participants must be 18 or older, have an official ASD diagnosis and be a current or recent U of I graduate.

African American Parents' Experiences Accessing Services for Children With ASD
Potential Participants: Please consider participating in this study if:
1. You are an African American parent or caregiver of an African American child who has a primary diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder,
2. Your child is in grades K-5 at a public school in Illinois and qualifies for special education and related services.

Impact on Dog Ownership and Autism (No Dog ownership necessary)
Caregivers whose family has children living with autism, with or without dogs, are sought for a 30-60 minutes interview about impact of dog ownership on physical activity in families. This study will examine the effect of dog ownership on the physical activity levels of family living with autism.Barriers and facilitators of owning a dog in family will also be studied.
