Don't buy! Donate. Seriously. Chances are you already have everything you need and so do your friends and family. Do we really need more *stuff*? It may be less romantic to donate to your favorite cause in someone's honor rather than buy them *stuff*, but there are people out there who need your resources more than your dad needs a new tie. Below are some of my favorite places to donate.

And if you really want to buy somehing, consider supporting your local artists and free lancers. Buy in the arts: a performance, a photograph, something hand crafted. Buy for health: a massage, a yoga session, acupunture.
