Bright & Beautiful Newsletter
Autumnal Greetings From Mia Park
Happy Autumn, friends. I uncharacteristically haven't sent a newsletter in months. I was focused on projects like acting in a play, the election, and playwriting. After November 8th, I've cycled between wanting to be as bright a light as possible in the coming dark ages, to weeping all day, unable to move from the couch. The bonus about my depression day was that I binge watched Stranger Things (Eleven!) and caught up on Chicago Med, on which I'm the recurring character, Nurse Beth.
The best way to be at peace during unpeaceful times is to know yourself and what you're made of. Now, more than ever, it's vital to be grounded in your authenticity and beliefs. Know who your posse is, your tribe, and build a strong community together. I've let go of people in my life who were once precious to me. I'm saddened and hurt by my decisions, but in the long run, I need to invest my energy in relationships that are nurturing, supportive and inspirational. In yoga terms, community is sangha and is powerful enough to reverse karma.
Find yourself, then find your people and hold on tight. The world may feel unsafe, but together we can learn and grow. I'm practicing to communicate respectfully, directly, and truthfully so that I'm able to discourse with people whose beliefs make me uncomfortable. Every conversation is a fantastic growth opportunity.
Below are offerings for you. Thank you for being a part of my digital community. I hope that the holiday season is filled with peace, support and joy for you. Love is love is love is love is love.
