"Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow."
Psalm 25:4 NLT

Our local Fine Arts Night is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 16, with the first performance beginning around 6:30 pm.  The Junior High students have been hard at work preparing for this night.
Schedules were shared via email last week.  With the uncertain weather there is a possibility that we might postpone until Monday night

This Friday, Feb. 17 – 2pm dismissal for teacher in-service.

Monday, Feb. 20 - NO School!

Thursday, Feb. 16, at 9 am, Mrs. Trixanna Wang, the guidance counselor at PC, will be at school to talk to the 8th graders about class options they can take while in High School.

Wednesday, Feb. 22 – Way Back Wednesday dress up day.

Enrollment / Re-Enrollment for the 23-24 School Year

Families, it has been in the works with JMC for a few years to move our enrollment registration to the spring, and this year we are making it happen.
We will use our JMC portal this year for registration (the app or online). This will hopefully streamline the process without the redundancy for you as parents of completing the same information from year to year about your student(s).

The enrollment/re-enrollment process will open on April 10th. With the re-enrollment deadline for our current K-7th families on May 19th

Join us at our information night coming up. Share with family and friends !!

Education Savings Accounts

On January 24, Governor Reynolds signed the Student First Act into law, providing Education Savings Accounts (ESA) worth $7,598 to students attending private schools. This plan will be phased in over the course of 3 years. We hope to share more as the state finalizes the details of this bill and its application process; in the meantime, you can sign up for ESA alerts by clicking here.

Christian Education is More Accessible but Not Fully Funded
The Student First Act significantly alleviates the financial struggle for families who desire Christian Education. We praise God for this!
We want to highlight that this funding is for parents and directly to parents, not the school. Parents can save and roll over any unused ESA funds each year.

SCS will remain a non-profit organization and does not receive government funding. Every expense will still be independently funded through tuition, endowments, and fundraising. Money raised through fundraising, donations, and business partnerships helps to support the school’s operating budget while maintaining affordable tuition rates. The tuition received each year only covers 49.1% of our yearly operating budget.
What does this mean...
SCS still needs your financial support through fundraisers and donations to cover teacher salaries, building maintenance, operating budget, and educational experiences for our students. We also see the significant value in fundraising as it strengthens our desire for community and fellowship through generations of our Christian school families and its supporters.

LOG-STO Tuition Assistance

LOG-STO funding will still be available for families for the 23-24 school year. This can be used in addition to ESA funding.

LOG-STO begins taking applications in mid-March and closes on April 30th. We will send out an email when this is available for you.

We are committed to maintaining our Mission & Vision and ensuring that, as a school, we are dedicated to creating an environment where excellence is encouraged, Christ-like values are reinforced, and a student’s identity in Christ is nurtured.
