We welcomed more than 200 attendees to last June’s SUNYCUAD educational conference in Syracuse. Conference Chair Debbie Clark has a message for all the volunteers who made SUNYCUAD 2012 such a success.

Do You Need Extra Dollars To Support Your Alumni Volunteer Program?
SUNYCUAD members with new and emerging alumni volunteer programs may receive a grant up to $1,000 to support these initiatives. SUNYCUAD annually offers the SUNYCUAD Alumni Confederation Volunteer Grant in order to sustain the important work alumni volunteers do for our campuses. Learn more about the program.

Community College CAO’s Retreat Scheduled for Jan 17-18 in Albany
The SUNY Community College Chief Advancement Officer’s Retreat will take place Thursday and Friday, January 17-18 at the Albany Marriott in Albany, N.Y. The event begins with a keynote address, “Creating a Culture of Philanthropy,” presented by Christine Hoek of Chrysalis Unlimited. Hoek’s talk is sponsored by SUNYCUAD. The opening lunch will feature a talk titled “From Investment Advisor to Development Director: Relationship Fundraising.” Presenters are Steve Frederick, vice president for advancement at Clinton Community College and Scott Brement, sales executive for Dupli.
