Create a Facebook FanPage for Your Business $25, 5-Oct
Bring your laptop and as a group, we’ll go through the steps required to set up a Facebook FanPage for your business. We’ll talk about the tabs and Facebook Ads, edit the Bio section, upload your business’ logo and add some content to the Wall so you can begin inviting your friends to become FANS of your FanPage. If you attended the fist two sessions in this series and developed a website, I’ll show you how to create a link on your website to your Facebook FanPage.
Create a LinkedIn Profile and Company Page $25, 12-Oct
Bring your laptop and as a group, we’ll create personal LinkedIn Profiles and Company Pages for your business. We’ll spend most of our time on the profile, but we will also talk about how to search for people you can build relationships with to help you in your business as either a customer or connector. If you attended the fist two sessions in this series and developed a website, I’ll show you how to create a link on your website to your LinkedIn presence.

I recently presented to a networking group about how social media can help them grow their business. I told the group that they could jump right in with their questions as I wanted this presentation to be more of a conversation than a speech. Right off the bat, a gentleman asked me what social networking was. Below are some definitions:

10 Tips for Polishing up Your Blogs

  1. Every post needs to be categorized
  2. Edit your posts and change the titles to make them more descriptive
  3. How to track your blog comments
  4. Create a descriptive or interesting site title
  5. Never let your readers see a URL
  6. Make sure your posts are thorough and long enough
  7. Always provide a citation when using content from another source
  8. Typos are never acceptable
  9. Beef up your About page to provide your readers with a professional profile
  10. Make sure your template is easy to read by people of all ages
