Racing this weekend - Corin Classic
The start for this race is near the Corin Road – Paddys River Road intersection (that’s the road that goes up to Corin Dam). From the start, riders turn left onto on to Paddys River Road and continue past Tidbinbilla and turn at Flints Reserve Crossing. On the way back riders turn left into Discovery Drive before turning at the tracking station. Riders then come back out from the tracking station and turn left on to Paddy’s River Road/Tidbinbilla Road and continue on to the turn around just before the descent into the Point Hut crossing. Riders then return along Tidbinbilla Road and turn left into Corin Road, with the finish at the CorinRecreation Centre, about 10 km from the Corin Road/Tidbinbilla Road intersection. If that is confusing, just get to the start line and listen to the race briefing. The total distance is approx 54 kms. For the 25 km half lap, riders proceed to just before the descent into the Point Hut crossing before returning and heading up to the Corin Recreation Centre.
This weekend’s Corin Classic would be good practice for those of you who are intending to compete at the upcoming ACT Hill Climb Champs (two weeks time) which features the same climb up to Corin Recreation Centre.

Results - Vikings Honeysuckle Hill Climb Championships
The VCC Honeysuckle Hillclimb took place on an overcast, but mild, Sunday morning.
27 riders turned up to take on the challenge of one of the ACT's more intense climbs, not made any easier by debris deposited by recent rockfalls, recent rain, and the local wildlife scattered along the way - however, I am happy to report no problems were encountered
Thank you all to who attended, and a big thank you to Chris Knezevic and Matty Menz who took on the Marshalling duties with gusto!
