Aquatic Group Classes

Aquatic Group Classes are underway. Due to social distancing and class capacity, registration for Aquatic Group Classes is required using Group Ex Pro. Class registration open 7-days prior to class. Please note: due to space constraints when aquatic fitness classes are being held in the Therapy pool, open swim will not be allowed.

Aquatic Private Lessons

Kids Corner - Now Open

Kids Corner has reopened for children 4-12 years of age only.
  • 1.5 hour maximum
  • No snacks
  • Socks required
  • Masks required of all children
  • Registration not required
Hours of Operation:
  • Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Billing:
Unlimited Childcare will automatically become active on October 1, 2020. For those members in an Unlimited Childcare contract (as opposed to month-to-month Unlimited Childcare), your contract has been extended according to the amount of time the club has been closed. Unlimited Childcare fees will be assessed until contract end date (unless canceled - if applicable) despite a membership freeze on the account. For those members that pay for Unlimited Childcare month-to-month, who wish to cancel and/or are under contract and are unable to utilize Kids Corner at this time, please contact Kids Corner Coordinator Cathy Betts at (810) 606-7524 or via email at Cathy.Betts@ascension.org.

Please be advised, children 12 and younger are not allowed outside of Kids Corner.

 

 

Indoor Group Fitness Classes - Limited Offering

Due to the state mandate requiring masks be worn at all times within the club, except while swimming in the pool, Ascension Genesys Health Club will be offering a limited Indoor Group Fitness schedule. It is our hope to expand upon our offerings as soon as the restriction to wear masks while exercising is lifted.

Due to social distancing and class capacity, registration for Group Fitness classes is required using Group Ex Pro. Weather permitting we will still be allowing Group Fitness classes to be hosted outside. If weather does not permit, Group Fitness classes will take place in Studio 1, Studio 2, or on Tennis Courts 6 and 7. Classes will need 3 or more attendees to be held, so please be sure to register!

Please note: Instructors will be announcing the following prior to each Group Fitness class:

  • Face Masks are required at all times for ALL indoor Group Fitness classes.
  • Please do YOUR part to keep everyone safe and healthy, by wearing your mask at all times.
  • If for any reason your mask falls off, replace it as soon as possible.
  • Be sure to pace yourself accordingly. If you feel light headed, dizzy, or not well... stop immediately and take a break. For extreme situations, remove yourself from the area and away from all members to remove your mask and breathe freely.

Online Group Fitness Classes

We have removed our Online Group Fitness Schedule from our website, as we are currently building a new On-Demand Platform. Stay tuned as our online offerings will be bigger and better than ever before. Our new platform will also host an array of new videos, our Pro Shop store, WOW videos, trainer and instructor bios and more! We anticipate the release of the new platform by mid October.

Club Capacity: In compliance with the state mandate, Ascension Genesys Health Club must limit capacity to 25% at this time (440 total members/employees). To assist with this effort we have a new check-in/check-out component called "Club Capacity Counter" which will help to ensure that Ascension Genesys Health Club is maintaining capacity guidelines at any given time.

Please be aware that the Capacity Counter takes into account our total club capacity of 440 members and employees allowed in the club at one time. If it states that we are at 17% capacity, that means we are at 17% of our 440 maximum allowed in the club per state mandate. ( .17 x 440 = 74.8 members plus employees )

In order for the Club Capacity Counter to work, members will be required to scan out upon exiting the club. The Club Capacity Counter will be located on our web page. We encourage our members to save the Club Capacity Counter onto their smartphone (click here for instructions). In doing so, you will have easy access to check the club's capacity at any time.

Face Mask Policy: In compliance with the state mandate (Executive Order No. 2020-176), face masks/covering MUST be worn at all times within the club, with the exception of swimming in the pool. 

Keeping You Safe: Your safety is our top priority here at Ascension Genesys Health Club! To demonstrate that point, we would like to share with you the changes we have implemented to keep our facility clean and our members safe and healthy! Towels: In order to minimize commonly touched items/surfaces, we have suspended towel service until further notice. If you need a towel, please bring it from home.

Membership Check-In: All members will be screened at the check-in tables set up in the main lobby prior to entering the club. Arrive early, with your mask on. Members will need to verbally acknowledge Ascension Genesys Health Club’s Covid-19 Code of Conduct. Once acknowledged, a notation will be made on your account. Finally, you will use hand sanitizer then proceed to the Service Desk to scan in.

Member Portal: The Member Portal is turned back on to view statements, make court reservations, etc. 

March Credit: As a reminder, all active and frozen member accounts will be credited the following prorated dues for March (3/14-3/31):
- March Membership dues
- Locker dues
- Unlimited Childcare dues
These credit(s) will be placed on your Ascension Genesys Health Club account
, and can be applied toward future dues and/or charges. However, due to software constraints, the crediting process could not take place until we reopened. We ask that you allow us a few weeks to complete this process due to the complexity of crediting nearly 8,000 accounts. Please be advised that EFT/ACH payments may process before all credits are complete.

Contract and Year-in-Advance Memberships: Upon reopening, Contract and Year-in-Advance memberships will be activated with end dates extended according to the amount of time the club has been closed. Contract memberships are designed for 12 months of primary dues and paid monthly. Year-in-Advance (YIA) memberships are prepaid for 12 full months with one additional month free. If an account is on hold past the reopening date, the membership will remain on hold as requested but the hold end date will also be taken into account when end dates are adjusted. These adjustments may take a couple of weeks to complete. If you have questions, please contact Membership Services at 810-606-7523 or email at AGHCmembership@ascension.org.

Membership Dues: Upon reopening, all accounts will become active, with the exception of those that have an active freeze request on file through Membership Services. Membership dues are being waived for September and are being temporarily discounted by 30% in October, to reflect a reduction of services due to the new social distancing guidelines, state mandates, CDC guidelines, and new infection control standards. Moving forward, membership discounts will be adjusted accordingly as more services are made available to members. All members that  have their memberships on hold thru or beyond October 31, 2020 will not have freeze fees charged until November 1st.
