State Charitable Contributions Program

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that the State Charitable Contributions Program (SCCP), the official workplace giving campaign for state employees and the University System of Georgia, is underway for fall 2015.

Most of us donate throughout the year to causes we value. The SCCP gives employees an easy and convenient way to take care of your annual giving via payroll deduction — as little as $1 per month — or a one-time donation to any of more than 1,300 charities. You choose where your donation goes; maybe the United Way to help people in your community or a charity that works to find a cure for a disease that has impacted you or someone you love. Now, more than ever, these worthy causes need our help.

Our local SCCP campaign will run through Nov. 15, 2015. It’s quick and easy to give online or you can fill out a pledge form and submit it to our SCCP Agency Coordinator, Alyssa Haskins (alhaskins@gru.edu). On Wednesday, Nov. 4, I encourage you take advantage of the opportunity to talk to representatives of some local charities who will be available during the Wellness & Benefits Fair at the GRU Wellness Center (1459 Laney Walker Blvd.). Find out what your generosity can accomplish.

This year’s theme is "Ready, Set, Give!" If you are a new employee or you haven’t participated before, please consider making this your year to make a difference. To previous SCCP donors, thank you for your generosity! The efforts we make today help shape the future for those in need. Please join me in supporting the 2015 campaign and making this year even more successful than the last.

Thank you,

Gretchen Caughman, 2015 SCCP Honorary Chair
