On Essex Mums this month
Hi everyone, from where I am it's looking lovely out! Finally we can get out and about and enjoy some of what wonderful outdoor activities Essex has to offer for families! As always there is lots to do and I've included some of them on the newsletter, as well as a few more bits and pieces from around the site and some news of a couple of overhauls! I hope you enjoy it!

Places to Eat
The Places to Eat section of the site has finally had a much-needed overhaul! The section features listings and reviews of family-friendly restaurants and cafes, so that parents make informed choices about where their family can enjoy a meal, and where might be best to avoid. The categories are arranged according to area, cuisine and type of establishment and features everything from playcentres to five star restaurants. Come and have your say!

The Map
The Essex Mums Map has been around a long time but is hopefully now a bit easier to use. Use it  to search for what's on near you - you can search by postcode, or just browse a particular area, and can find details of parent & toddler groups, classes, clubs, nurseries and things to do both indoors and outdoors.

Baby Clinics
Have a young baby and wondering where to go to get them weighed? Then take a look a new forum post detailing clinics across the county. If you know of one near you, please get in touch and I will add it to the list!

Meet-Ups
As the weather starts to get nicer it would be really nice to have more meet-ups organised across the county. We always have lots in the Southend area, but it would be great if there were people in other areas who could take charge of organising things near them as in my experience people are often keen to go along to things but a bit hesitant to suggest them themselves! Are there any volunteers?

It would mean posting meet-up ideas in
this section which I can then share on facebook too and create events for. Would be lovely if we could have one or two people in each area coming up with some ideas. Let me know if you're interested
!
