The Day of the Dead, a major Mexican holiday and celebrated on All
Saints Day, is a time to remember loved ones now gone. Families prepare favorite foods, altars, or ofrenda that symbolize ongoing life and to welcome the spirits who are thought to return briefly each year.

The Center will start our recognition of this colorful holiday by presenting a Dia de los Muertos Art Exhibition with artwork including painting, photography, sculpture, and contemporary interpretations of the ofrenda (offering to the dead). The exhibit opened on September 20th and will run through Friday, November 5th during normal operating hours.
