Seriously, if you and your business aren't thinking about how to take advantage of the China opportunity in the next two years, you must have rocks in your head!

Can you really afford to ignore the opportunity to tap into a rapidly growing middle class of 400 million with consumption, travel, health, education and premium food on their minds, and an entrepreneurial spirit which is creating havoc and disruption around the world in so many industries? (retail, gaming, electronic payments and smart phones to name a few).

Are you really going to sit on the incremental growth of your existing domestic business and hope that you can survive the onslaught of new innovations and products that are being rapidly developed by Chinese companies (sometimes with the help of foreign innovations in which they are investing heavily) and designed specifically to disrupt, disintermediate and dismantle your industry forever?

If nothing else, surely it’s time to sit down with your board, leadership team or management group and do some brainstorming? I am on my way to Switzerland today to address a group of European Investment managers on the topic of “Investing in China in 2019” but I would be happy to talk to you when I get back to discuss how I can stimulate some new thinking about China in your business, and help you develop a plan of attack for 2019. Please contact me at support@davidthomas.asia while I’m away to set up a time for when I get back?
