🛑 The Dunwoody City Council has imposed a six-month moratorium on permitting or licensing cannabis retail stores. 


🗳️ New surveillance footage shows a fake Trump elector spent hours inside the Coffee County elections office when the voting system was breached. 

⚖️ An Atlanta lawyer has been found guilty of killing a man in a 2019 road rage incident on River Valley Rd. in Sandy Springs. 

🚨 Tin Lizzy's Cantina caught fire in Buckhead early Tuesday morning. 

📈 Even as gas prices have come down from their June highs, Fed watchers expect another hike in interest rates today. According to NPR, "the Fed hopes to tamp down consumer demand, which has been outstripping supply and pushing prices higher."

⚾ For the fifth year in a row, the Braves have clinched a spot in the playoffs. With 14 games remaining in the season, Atlanta trails New York by one game in the NL East.
📸 PICTURE THIS: Crews are making progress on reconstructing the bridge over South Fork Peachtree Creek on Cheshire Bridge Rd. The bridge was damaged more than a year ago by a fire and has caused headaches for businesses and residents in the area. The Atlanta Department of Transportation says work is expected to be finished by Halloween.

1. Atlanta Design Festival returns

📍 The Atlanta Design Festival is back Oct. 1-9 with architecture tours in Atlanta and Serenbe, as well as a conference with a slate of special guests and design experts. 

The architecture tour will showcase 17 modern buildings, including the Holly Hill House (pictured), TKElevator building, YKK headquarters, Norfolk-Southern headquarters, and more. Tickets, which sell out quickly, are available here.

The Design is Human Conference will feature 22 guest speakers over 13 sessions, including Rapha Abrue, SVP of global design for Coca-Cola; Ryan Wilson, founder of The Gathering Spot; Sofi Armenakian, director of sustainability for the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena; and many more.

2. Callanwolde at 50

🎉 Callanwolde Fine Arts Center in DeKalb County will mark its 50th anniversary with a trip back in time.

"Party Like It's 1972" is set for Oct. 2 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and guests are encouraged to break out their tie-dyes, bell bottoms, and platform shoes for the party. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased here. 

The evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine by Zest Atlanta Catering, and disco dancing with tunes spun by DJ Ballroom Blitz. The event will also showcase talents by in-house artists including Pro Prime Movers and a display of ceramic pieces made by artists at the center.
