#HashTagOurStories Social Media Training

In June, WorldSkills hosted social media training sessions for Champions, Members, and partners to learn about video storytelling from two innovative social media journalists, Yusuf Omar and Sumaiya Omar, Co-founders of Hashtag Our Stories. The training was designed to help participants develop within their own online communities, individuals to tell the stories of how #SkillsChangeLives.

The training included three key elements:
  • Experience- the power of mobile storytelling
  • Empower- providing the skills and resources to film their stories and basic video editing tips
  • Engage- now that we’ve made the videos, how do we share them online!
Watch highlights of the training on our YouTube channel.
