SWO ROAD TRIP OCTOBER 12!!! - Save the date!

Save the afternoon and early evening of October 12 for a chartered bus trip to the DL Johnson CLT plant in Riddle. Leaving Eugene about noon and returning by 8 PM, we’re planning an afternoon together with a studio of UO Architecture students focused on CLT.

Expect a lecture en route by a special guest, a guided plant tour watching live production plus plenty of Q & A, a stop on the way back at an Umpqua Valley winery, and a concluding lecture en route back to Eugene.

We’re expecting up to 4.0 CEU’s – all for under $50, maybe less! Look for a sign-up invite near the end of the month. First come – first served: space will be limited!

ARCHITECTS IN SCHOOLS PROGRAM

Architects in Schools is administered by the Architecture Foundation of Oregon and matches professional architects and other design professionals with primarily 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teachers for a 6-week free classroom residency (approximately 1-2 hours a week per class - the schedule is decided by the design professional and teacher).

In the last two school years, requests from schools increased 44%.  This year's AiS program is really in need of design professionals!  Design professional application deadline is Friday, September 23. Design professionals can apply as soon as possible by going to the application link on AFO's website at https://af-oregon.org/programs/architects-in-schools "
