Coming up on November 26 is Wagner's "Siegfried," with Jay Hunter Morris in the title role.In part three of the Ring, Wagner’s cosmic vision focuses on his hero’s early conquests, while Robert Lepage’s revolutionary stage machine transforms itself from bewitched forest to mountaintop love nest. Jay Hunter Morris (pictured) sings the title role and Deborah Voigt’s Brünnhilde is his prize. Bryn Terfel is the Wanderer. Fabio Luisi conducts.

Due to the long run-time of this opera, which includes two intermissions, OCCA has asked Newport restaurant Champagne Patio to provide box lunches for sale for this event (see note in next column for details).

Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA), OCCA members, season benefactors and individual opera hosts are proud to present this season. "Siegfried" is hosted anonymously. Contact Catherine Rickbone to find out more about hosting an opera.

About your host
Although "Siegfried" is hosted anonymously, the Oregon Coast Council for the Arts (OCCA) appreciates the generosity and support given for this event, and for the entire 2011-12 Met Opera Live in HD season. Without the outstanding support of opera hosts, members, and season benefactors, OCCA would not be able to carry out its mission of promoting, developing, and celebrating community arts. Thank you!

Box lunches will be available for the Nov. 26 showing of "Siegfried."
