 Interfaith Service Day
Dear Friends,

Join us on Sunday, March 22nd, 5:00-7:00 p.m. for the Be A Kid Again Fundraiser, sponsored by Brewport Brewing Company,  225 South Frontage Road, Bridgeport CT, I-95 Exit 27, to support  our peace partners, the Jerusalem Peacebuilders (JPB).

As treasurer and a member of the JPB Board of Directors, I attest to the important work conducted by JPB year round in Israel and in Jerusalem schools, inspiring youth with the joyful, difficult, and invaluable work of interfaith peacemaking.  At this special event you will meet JPB leadership, learn about their programs, and have an opportunity to share and give financially while enjoying pizza, salad, and craft beer brewed on site.
Tickets can be purchased in advance here:  Be A Kid Again Fundraiser Tickets
The Brewport Brewing Company parking lot is attended, accessible from I-95, and the brewpub atmosphere is casual and family friendly. This is the largest Brewpub in Connecticut.  DIrections
Join us on Sunday, August 9th 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm  for the second annual Interfaith Service Day. On this day, we will form volunteer interfaith work teams with the Jerusalem Peacebuilders. We will give our time in service to projects in our communities and afterwards we'll reunite on the New Haven Green for pizza and fellowship.

Last year over 150 interfaith volunteers supported six community service projects.  With our peace partners, the visiting interfaith Israeli teens from the Jerusalem Peacebuilders, we 1. Fed the hungry with guidance from Christ Episcopal Church, New Haven. 2. Built affordable housing with Habitat for Humanity 3. Restored a Jewish Cemetery with guidance from the Jewish Cemetery Association and the Hebrew Burial and Free Loan Association, 4. Cleaned our beaches with Save the Sound. 5. Painted affordable apartments with Christian Community Action. 6. Picked up trash and planted flowers with Masjid Al Islam, and 7. Painted a highway mural promoting interfaith peacemaking with Barrett Outdoor Communications Inc.  We ended the afternoon of interfaith activities with pizza and salad on the New Haven Green.  We worked together, as Jews, Christians, and Muslims, welcoming everyone of good will, with our special guests, the Jerusalem Peacebuilders.

Details and sign up forms will follow as we assemble this year's service projects. Please mark your calendar, bring your family and your faith community to the 2nd annual Interfaith Service Day on the New Haven Green.
