The Traverse Theatre and Writer Pictures would like to invite you and a guest to the opening of the
Traverse Fifty Exhibition
| Tuesday 22 October 6pm - 7.30pm |
In December 2012, Writer Pictures launched a competition to find 50 photographers to
document and celebrate the Traverse Fifty.
Each of the 50 winning photographers were paired up with one of the Traverse Fifty writers. Throughout the course of the year, they met, got to know each other, and worked collaboratively to create a portrait that captured the essence of each individual.
The final 50 images will be shown together in an exhibition in the Traverse Bar throughout the Write Here Festival.
Following the exhibition opening will be the very first rehearsed reading of our Write Here Festival, a sneak preview of a new play by award-winning writer Morna Pearson. Tickets can be bought here or by calling our Box Office on 0131 228 1404.
Please join us for drinks in the Traverse Bar to celebrate the launch of this unique and collaborative exhibition.
Skin; or How to Disappear.
by Morna Pearson.
Robert hasn't left the house since Helen Daniels from Neighbours died. Having pulled out every hair on his body, he has started peeling off all of his skin. His routine is interrupted by a visit from an incapacity benefit assessor. Somebody's life is about to change.
Skin; or How to Disappear
was first commissioned as a ten minute play for Agent 160 Theatre Company.
