It’s always a good time to Walk for Life but never has it been more critical than today. Public policy makers and the mainstream media would have us think the pro-life cause is a lost cause in public debate. But we know that’s not true – as long as we continue to boldly enter the public square and make our voices heard – PRO-LIFE is ALIVE!
We join millions who work tirelessly to achieve the dream – an America where abortion is seen as neither needed nor wanted, an America that is truly free.
Join us on Saturday, January 26, 2013 for the 9th Annual Walk for Life West Coast and let the world know – We are ‘in it’ to ‘WIN IT’!
Be sure to check out our revamped Walk for Life website. Find directions to the Walk, the Walk route, Walk parking, and more. Check out the new features and send us your thoughts.
NEED A RIDE TO THE WALK?
If you, or someone you know, needs transportation to the Walk for Life, visit the website’s “Need a Ride?” page. Not only will it get you to the Walk, it’s great way to meet new pro-life friends!
Because so many of our faithful WFL'ers were pulling double duty this year (also being active with local, state and national elections), we will be extending the early bus registration period to December 15, 2012. Get your registrations in before the price increases on the 15th!
YOUNG ADULT EVENT AFTER THE WALK
Catholic Underground will be held after the Walk at St. Mary Magdalen parish in Berkeley from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm. This free event for young adults is an evening of prayer, praise, and a 'Catholic coffee house' featuring Fr. Stan Fortuna. See their website for more info and to view a video clip from their last event, or send an email to Patti.
Conveniently timed and located at 9:30 am at St. Mary's Cathedral, this time allows buses to drop passengers off at the Cathedral and head for bus parking. Mass concludes in plenty of time to walk or drive over to Civic Center Plaza for the morning's Info Faire which begins at 11:00 am. There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants along the way. Please note that cars cannot be left in the Cathedral parking lot after the Mass.
Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone will be the main celebrant. 13 other bishops are expected to attend including Vatican Papal Nuncio Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò. For a full list, please see our website.
