10% Tuesdays for TransActive's In a Bind program

Throughout the month of May, 10% of all purchases made at She Bop on Tuesdays will go to TransActive's In A Bind program! TransActive is a Portland-based non-profit that provides a wide range of services to transgender and gender nonconforming children, youth, and their families. Their In A Bind program provides chest binders to trans-masculine youth in need. Come down to the shop on any Tuesday in May to support this amazing program!

Hooray for Mother's Day!

What's the best way to show your partner that you appreciate all that they do this Mother's Day? Surprise them with something fun and sexy!

Perhaps they'd like the remote-controlled, vibrating and rotating Hula Beads for some partner play? Or the cute Iroha Mini or Pearly? Maybe some reading material — an erotica collection like The Big Book of Orgasms or a BDSM intro book like 50 Shades of Kink? Or what about one of the most powerful vibes around plus a unique attachment for it?

Of course, if you can't decide on something specific, everyone loves receiving a gift certificate!

What's new in the shop

This month, our shelves are bursting with new things! We have a ton of new books, including the latest from Tristan Taormino, as well as new DVDs from Madison Young, several nipple suckers, a sleek masturbation sleeve, many sizes of anal beads, and more.

Read about all the new stuff on our blog!

'Sup on the blog?

For a queer woman named Carrie, one small act of kink gave her more permission for pleasure than she’d ever given herself. The hardest part about sex with a disability, she says, "isn't convincing someone else you're desirable — it's convincing yourself that your body is worth pleasing."

Vibrators can help constipated turtles, K-Y Jelly gives movie monsters their gooey look, and semen is great invisible ink. We learned about all kinds of strange uses for sex products.

Did you know that May is Masturbation Month? We've previously written about the benefits of masturbation, how to become comfortable with masturbation, and tips for switching up your masturbation routine. Give those a read, then... go celebrate!

Holistic pelvic care from our neighbor!

Nori Gordon is a Licensed Massage Therapist at fusion bodyworks pdx (right upstairs from us). She specializes in Internal Pelvic floor therapy and is a certified Holistic Pelvic Care (HPC™) Practitioner. Holisitc Pelvic Care is an internal pelvic floor therapy that works to restore balance and health in the pelvis by releasing tension and adhesions and increasing one's internal sensing and awareness. HPC was created by Tami Kent, a Women's Health Physical Therapist in Portland and author of Wild Feminine.

If you want to chat with Nori and see if this work is right for you, email her at eleanorgordonlmt@gmail.com to set up a 15 minute info session!
