Unfortunately, our Cafeteria Supervisor resigned late last week. Fortunately, we do have a few people that are interested in interviewing for the position. We will not, however, be able to have the cafeteria lunch program up and running by the first day of school. Therefore ALL students will need to bring a packed lunch to school, until further notice. We are hoping to have the meal program up and running by the day after Labor Day. We will notify you of the exact date as soon as we know.

In the meantime, we will have milk and juice available for purchase, as well as cups for the students to get free water.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND MONEY IN FOR BEVERAGES. WE WILL BILL YOU LATER! WE ARE ALSO IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING CAFETERIA PAYMENTS AVAILABLE ONLINE! YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT! MS. ROSE AND MRS. WITKOWSKI WILL FILL YOU IN ABOUT THIS AT YOUR BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT.

TRANSPORTATION

BUS RIDERS
A student is assigned and registered through his/her local school district transportation department in order to ride a school bus. Proper conduct is required at all times to enjoy the privilege of bus transportation. Buses drop off and pick up in the Parish Center Parking Lot.

Any change in a student’s transportation plans must be placed in writing and submitted to the school on the day of change. The child will be placed on the school bus unless the school has been notified in writing of the change of transportation. Please make every effort to avoid last minute transportation changes.

WALKERS
Before School – Parents assume responsibility for the safe crossing of students in the morning. Students may not arrive at the school before 7:40 A.M. Any student arriving prior to 7:40 A.M. will be assigned to the Extended Care Program and the parent/guardian charged accordingly. (See Extended Care section)

After School – At the end of the school day, a faculty member crosses the walkers at Philadelphia Avenue and Second Street. Any time a walker will be using another method of transportation the school must be notified in writing on that day.

CAR RIDERS

Before School – PK4 Vehicles will enter the church lot from Second Street south gate. Parents/guardians must park and escort students to the line-up area along the chain. At 7:45am a teacher will meet the students and escort them to the classroom. Vehicles will exit by way of the north gate on Second Street.

Grades K-8 Vehicles will enter the north entrance of the PARISH CENTER lot, proceed to the sidewalk of the parish center, place the vehicle in park, allow the students to exit the vehicle and proceed to the sidewalk. Students will make their way to the school via the school entrance at the stairs. Vehicles will proceed around the circle and out the south entrance of the parish center lot. *This is the same route the AM buses will be using, to avoid congestion please DO NOT park; drop student(s) off and proceed.

After School – PK4 Vehicles will enter the church lot from the Second Street south gate. Parents/guardians must park and proceed to the line-up area. At 2:45pm a teacher will escort the students to parents/guardians. Vehicles will exit by way of the north gate on Second Street. *If you are picking up an older student proceed around the block

Grades K-8 car riders will be dismissed on the PARISH CENTER side of the school. Bus dismissal will take place first. Vehicles WILL NOT be permitted in the lot until 2:45pm. Vehicles will enter the north entrance of the parish center lot and proceed to the large lot on the south side of the parish center (bus holding lot). Parents/guardians will park in the lot on the south side of the parish center and proceed to the north side of the parish center. Student pick up will take place between the school and the parish center (near the small playground).

In consideration for the staff, please be prompt when picking up your child. If you are not able to pick up your child by 3:00 P.M. please make other child care arrangements or enroll your child in our Extended Care Program.

Any time a student will be using another method of transportation the school must be notified in writing on that day. If another driver will be picking up your child, please notify the school in writing on that day.
