The Symposium on Family Learning, Inclusion and the Value of Play in Museums is seeking submissions from college and university students engaged in work involving topics such as children and family learning, play, accessibility, and museum spaces. Expressed visually in the form of a standard-sized poster, selected submissions will be showcased to a wide range of international museum professionals, academics, and early learning experts.

Deadline to apply November 12, 2019

The province is now accepting funding applications for projects under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program's (ICIP) Community, Culture and Recreation (CCR) stream. The funding will go towards investing in community, culture and recreational projects that will help deliver vital services for communities, foster greater social inclusion and improve the quality of life for residents across the province.

Using her work as the Education Officer at Humber Galleries as a starting point, Danica Evering will talk through some of her engagement strategies to build learning relationships with unusual suspects. Reaching out beyond the art programs at the college, the art community, and the “general public,” the Humber Galleries education program brought in recent immigrant students, outdoor elementary school groups, new teachers, after-school programs and more.
