Beyond the Wall: Immigration and Human Rights at the Border

Join the American Constitution Society, the International Law Practice Society and the International Refugee Assistance Project for a comprehensive discussion about immigration and human rights at the border. Specifically, we will explore how the Trump administration's border policies have affected families, women, and children. We will feature speakers from Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and the Tahirih Institute for Justice, as well as Emory Law students who have volunteered with refugee children at the border. Mediterranean-style lunch will be provided.

Grammar for Contracts

In this workshop, we will review grammar rules for the little, but important, words in contracts. We will review rules for English prepositions, articles, and numbers. We will also review subject-verb agreement. Come with your questions.

The South Asian Law Student Association (SALSA) invites you to drop in for some snacks and a warm cup of chai while we talk about managing stress, breaking down stigma, and the mystery of "self care." We will be enlisting the help of mental health professionals from the office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) for this event. 16th Annual Shamjam Shuckfest

The Emory Grad School Band, “DISORDER IN THE COURT” is performing from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., at this all-day oyster fest hosted by Tin Roof Cantina. This mini-festival will feature three other local bands on two stages indoor and outdoor including “These Crowded Streets” (A Dave Mathews Cover Band), “Blair Crimmins & The Hookers”, and “Risky Biscuit.” There will be great food, all the steamed oysters you can eat, as well items from the regular menu
- outdoor games such as  cornhole, beer pong, darts and tons of good music. Tickets are $10 at the door, but a limited amount of advance tickets can be purchased for $5, with the band promo code “CONTEMPT” here

Bar Examiners' Presentation About July Bar Exam

The director of Georgia's Office of Bar Admissions will present detailed information about the July bar exam, with one or more of the bar examiners who write and grade the bar essay questions. The information will be helpful and relevant to all students who will take a bar exam, even in other states.

Each spring, US News releases its annual rankings of law schools. Before its next release,  please join Ethan Rosenzweig today (Monday, March 4) in Room 1F at 1 p.m. for a general presentation on the variables that the publication has relied upon historically and the formula it has used in calculating its listing. This is an informal gathering, and any student who wishes to learn more about the topic is invited to attend.
