The discussion will be led by Professor Timothy R. Holbrook, who clerked for the Honorable Glenn L. Archer Jr. of the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and Trenton Ward 03L, Partner with Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP. Before joining Finnegan, Ward was lead Administrative Patent Judge at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

The deadline to report pro bono hours completed during the Fall 2018 semester has been extended. This is the final extension. Please submit your pro bono hours to Symplicity no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 15 in order to receive credit.

Thrower Symposium, “Exploring Gun Violence in Modern America: Law, Policy, and Social Movements,” will be held Thursday, February 7, starting at 8 a.m. A keynote discussion, “The Second Amendment in an Era of Mass Shootings,” will be held by Robert J. Cottrol of George Washington University School of Law and Adam Winkler of UCLA School of Law. A panel discussion on gun-related crime and enforcement will include panelist Sally Yates, Partner, King & Spalding and former US Deputy Attorney General.

1L students are invited to join attorneys from Cadwalader's Charlotte office as they provide insight into transactional law and their summer program. Students will also have the opportunity to meet individually with attorneys to learn more about their practice areas.
