CNN President’s Message
Michelle Charette, RHIA
Greetings CPHIMA colleagues!
If you are like me, you are counting down the days until Spring is here. On Friday, March 15, 2013 those of us who attended the educational session at Masonic Homes in Elizabethtown were learning all there is to know about Computer Assisted Coding, and counting down until ICD-10 is a reality.
If you were not able to attend this meeting, you missed some fabulous presentations from e4, Optum, Topp Business Solutions, Dolbey, Precyse and Nuance. Thank you to Precyse and AlphaSystems for sponsoring our event and to Masonic Homes for being our gracious host. I think all who attended would agree that the day was information-filled to say the least.
If you are considering volunteering for your local professional association you are in luck. CPHIMA is looking for a President-Elect, Treasurer and Director. If you are interested in learning more about these positions, Cynthia Hunter has just the information you are looking for! In this update you will find more information about the open positions and how you can go about getting on the ballot or volunteering your time. If you haven’t considered volunteering, please do. The CPHIMA Board of Directors and committee chair positions are 100% staffed by volunteers. There are many ways to volunteer your time. Contact a current Board or committee member if you have questions.
If you haven’t already, take a look at the agenda for the PHIMA Annual Conference in State College. Held from May 13th-15th, this year’s theme is “Make It Happen”. This is a wonderful opportunity to network with your peers for across the state!
Happy Spring to all of you! Enjoy the extra sunshine and warmer days as they come. I hope to see you at our June educational session at Wellspan in York, PA on June 21, 2013.
