Tanner is Devon's new Economic Development Officer. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 2016 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Cooperative Education with a major in Natural Resources and a minor in Business Law.
Since then, he's been working primarily in business and economic development in the energy sectors, and across all 3 levels of government. Most recently, he was with the National Research Council of Canada working on business development in nanotechnology.

New Air Products Complex Announcement Air Products announced a net-zero hydrogen energy complex to be built in Edmonton. This 1.3 billion dollar facility is set for operation in 2024 and will create 2,500 jobs in the Edmonton region.

They have many COVID-19 business supports such as crisis recovery, emergency preparedness aids, and more.
The Government of Alberta Small and Medium Enterprise Relaunch Grant offers financial assistance to Alberta organizations (businesses, cooperatives and non-profits) that were ordered to close or curtail operations, and that experienced a revenue reduction of at least 30%, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
