Startup Reading List

March 13, 2015

How is this for meta... one of the curators of the digest has a blog entry in this week's digest. PUCHAAHH! That was the sound of your mind being blown. Check out Chris McCann's post on growth stacks.

Met a cool founding team in Berlin last week. They created FOUNDD (currently just on IoS) which is helping my wife and me figure out what to watch and bring harmony to our household. Check it out.

In other news, frequent featured blogger Mike Belsito has published a book Startup Seed Funding for the Rest of Us which he is making available for FREE, yes that free, today and into Saturday. Can't endorse the book as I haven't read it but I can definitely endorse the price... FREE!

And there you have it. Enjoy!

Growth Stacks

Chris McCann

"An interesting note is 90% of all of the companies are using a 3rd party tool for analytics. Very few attempted to build their own analytics in house."

Fundraising Can Be Fun Again

Joel Yarmon

"Your customers probably aren’t nerds who live their entire lives in windowless rooms with green-screen tans, banging out code all day long. They’re well-rounded people who have other things going on in addition to gushing about how great YOUR product or service is. You should be the same. One-dimensional founders are rarely as successful as their well-rounded competitors."

Great Brands Don’t Just Happen

Eitan Chitayat

"Your tagline needs to make sense. Vague head-scratchers are a wasted opportunity to say something meaningful about your brand. It has to be honest and memorable."

What the Seed Funding Boom Means for Raising a Series A

Josh Kopelman

"The current free flowing seed stage capital is giving lots of founders a false sense of confidence when going into their Series A."
