Cold Climate Heat Pumps are one of the most efficient ways to cool and heat your home. The Compact has increased our rebates to help you upgrade or switch to a heat pump system. We’ll contribute $10,000 toward your new, whole-home heat pump system.

New All-Electric Home Incentive 

Cape Light Compact, along with the other Sponsors of Mass Save®, is excited to launch the All-Electric Home incentive. This new incentive is part of the Residential New Construction program and designed for single-family and 2-4 unit homes that achieve high-performance construction and utilize all-electric appliances for heating, cooling, water heating and cooking. With this offer, which has incentives starting at $15,000, we hope to encourage and support the construction of decarbonized homes. To learn more, email or call 1-866-527-SAVE (7283).

Habitat for Humanity Cape Cod Builds Energy Efficiency into New Homes

Homes built by Habitat for Humanity on Cape Cod embrace energy efficient design and materials. Six new homes in Harwich are participating in our Residential New Construction Program, and pursuing our new All-Electric Home incentive. They’ll include high efficiency insulation and weatherization, heat pumps, and solar panels. This attention to energy efficiency in their construction will reduce utility bills for residents and make the homes more comfortable. The Compact will also be providing funding to support a portion of the costs of the solar panels.

A New Commission to Support Clean Heat and Energy Efficiency 

Read CAI's interview with Dorothy Savarese, Cape resident, CEO of Cape Cod 5, and a member of the new Massachusetts Commission on Clean Heat. Governor Baker created the Commission to recommend policies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from buildings.
