Great Results for Mona Vale SLSC at last weekend's Senior Branch Carnival

Last Saturday 5 March saw the SNBSLS (Senior Beach Events) Championships take place at Collaroy. With wild conditions in the water the Ocean Thunder Boat Series was relocated to Collaroy, pushing the beach carnival north of the pipe. The first event of the day was the 2km runs. The windy conditions made the soft sand run very difficult, but the day started well for our small team of two, with Will Collinson taking out the gold in the u17 mens race.

He smashed the field by a country mile! Next Harvey Monnock had a crack in the u15s 2km run, coming fourth with a comment “that was so hard”. He later did his more favoured sprint race coming third, and also picked up a bronze in the flags. Joel Lever also placed in the U15 Board..Well done boys! Go team MV!
