It's been another good year at FORMA Design. We just celebrated our 20th year on the 15th of December. We would like to update you on the news from 2014 and to say thank you to our past, present and future clients!

Design Awards 2014

IIDA
At the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) 2014 annual awards celebration in April, FORMA Design was awarded the
SILVER Award in the Healthcare category for Coviello Oral Surgery, and  the
BRONZE Award in the Healthcare category for Pashapour Oral+Facial Surgery. 

HOUZZ
FORMA Design  won a Best Of Houzz 2014 award in 2 Design categories.

The 2014 Baltimore-Washington NKBA Awards
Our most recent project, "Craftsman Modern", in Arlington, VA, won an award of Distinction for its Master Bath.

Custom Builder Awards
Our most recent project, "Craftsman Modern", in collaboration with Miller Custom Builders and GTM Architects, won the Gold award in the Custom Transitional Home category at the annual Custom Builder Awards.

The 2014 Fairfax County Exceptional Design Awards
We are honored to have received 2 of the 8 awards given out at the 2014 Fairfax County Exceptional Design Awards, for our projects Banaji Pediatric Dental Specialists and Coviello Oral Surgery, both in Fairfax County. 

Publications 2014

Marie Claire Magazine's January issue featured some of FORMA's work.

FORMA's medical and dental work was featured extensively, in an article in the Washington Post magazine on January 5th. 

The February 2014 issue of "Design Today" magazine, published in India featured our project "Flat in McLean".

The March/April issue of HOME & DESIGN magazine published our Tenleytown rowhouse renovation.

The March 2014 issue of DC Modern Luxury magazine's top five list "Live the good life" included FORMA Design.

The April 2014 issue of DC Modern Luxury magazine featured our project "House in Potomac 2.0". 

Our project "Flat on the Georgetown Canal" was in the April 2014 issue of El Colombiano's "Propiedades Deco" magazine, published in Colombia.

The Greek Magazine ΣΥΝΘΕΣΕΙΣ from April 2014 included an article with "before" and "after" photos of our project "Flat in McLean".

A May 14th Home & Garden article of the Washington Post quoted FORMA Design. 

FORMA's Medical work was featured in a new book on progressive Healthcare spaces, published in Hong Kong.

FORMA's project "South Beach Retreat" was featured in the June issue of Renovation Trends Ideas.

Our Georgetown project "California Casual" was the cover story for the Chilean Sunday magazine "Vivienda y Decoracion", of the daily newspaper El Mercurio. 

The new book "Medical and Dental Space Planning" that was published by WILEY, features several of FORMA's projects, and, in the chapter 'Unique Projects" singles out FORMA with the following quote: "FORMA (Washington, DC) creates medical and dental offices with a consistent ultra-contemporary design aesthetic with bold use of color, intriguing ceiling design and challenging geometry". 

The July 2014 Healthcare Design magazine featured our project Coviello Oral Surgery on the cover!

The annual design book "Οδηγος για το Συγχρονο Σπιτι 2014-2015", published in Nicosia, Cyprus, featured both our projects "South Beach Retreat" and "Lake Barcroft Residence" on the cover as well as in features within the magazine.

The September 2014 issue of DC Modern Luxury magazine's top five list "Live the good life" included FORMA Design project Coviello Oral Surgery.

Our project "Craftsman Modern" was featured on the cover and is the cover story of the September/October 2014 issue of HOME&DESIGN magazine. FORMA produced the Interior Architecture and Interior Design for the project, in collaboration with GTM architects, who were the base building architects, and with Jennifer Gilmer Kitchen+Bath.

Our project "A Tenleytown Row-house" was featured in the article "New Identity" in TRENDS magazine.

In the Inaugural issue of " The Design Bureau 100", Chicago based Design Bureau Magazine had selected FORMA's Banaji Pediatric Specialists project as one of "100 spaces that speak to the importance of design in our lives- from the biggest adventures to the smallest of moments".

Our project "Penthouse at the Metropole" was one of the 6 featured projects in the article " Great Home Design" in the October 2014 issue of WASHINGTONIAN magazine. 

Australian Inside Out magazine featured our "Penthouse at the Metropole" project in an article on Mezzanines+Lofts- it's project #1 (open air).

Our project "Flat on the Georgetown Canal" was on the cover of the November 2014 issue of Greek magazine "Προτασεις για το συγχρονο σπιτι" ( in translation, "Suggestions for the modern home").
