Where Agriculture Meets Innovation

August 16 - 18, 2016

St. Johns, Michigan

The inaugural AgroExpo, hosted by AgroLiquid on the company’s research farm, just north of St. Johns, Michigan, will be held Aug. 16-18, 2016.

According to show committee member Albert Bancroft, the event is designed to connect farmers, commodity groups, grower-led associations, and news makers in the agriculture industry with the latest in-field research and technology designed to improve agronomic management practices and, ultimately, economic returns.

The newly created AgroExpo is being led by a planning group of farmers, agri-businesses, and statewide industry organizations, including Michigan Corn Growers Association, Michigan Farm Bureau and AgroLiquid.

“With our focus on innovative technology, this event is designed for farmers who are seeking the latest advances in agriculture,” Bancroft explained. “AgroExpo will highlight all components of production agriculture – from planting to harvest - giving producers the opportunity to see in-field demonstrations, educational programs and presentations.”

Taking into account the variety of crops produced in the U.S., Bancroft says AgroExpo will have a wide variety of equipment demonstrations, research and field plot tours and access to vendors representing row crops, fruit and vegetable growers, horticulturists and orchardists. These areas of interest will be spread across 10 specialized areas, being referred to as “towns.”

“From tillage to crop protection, silage management to irrigation – we hope AgroExpo will leave growers motivated and full of ideas about the future of their farming operation,” said Bancroft.

One of those areas will be Silage Town, which will focus on the latest silage and alfalfa management practices, educational sessions and self-propelled harvesting demonstrations.

“We’re excited to collaborate with the AgroExpo”, said DuPont Pioneer Dairy Specialist, Dann Bolinger. “Silage Town will offer growers a unique, in-field experience to learn about the latest advances in harvest management that will help growers put more feed in the bunk.”
