Focusing On Plastic Pollution
Plastic pollution has become one of the most pressing problems we face today. We’ve all seen the heart-breaking pictures of oceans befouled by plastics and marine animals dying slowly, but the problem is much bigger than the oceans – read this month’s blog for a more complete picture.
We all care, right? So, what can we do that will actually turn this around? We can blame others or expect others to solve the problem, but our belief is that we the people can take a big bite out of plastic pollution just by the everyday choices we make as consumers.
In that spirit we are initiating the Plastics Campaign, and we’ll spend the next month exploring the issue of plastics, and sharing knowledge and best practices from our community. That’s you! We want to find out what the most effective actions are that we can each take, and then make that knowledge widely available to people everywhere.
