AU campus comes into bloom
April showers are bringing April flowers throughout the campus. The timing is perfect, providing the university community with beautiful scenery during the last few weeks of spring semester.
A Message from the Dean
Greetings from Dunham Hall:
We are in the homestretch...Just a few weeks until the end of the spring term! In this installment of my biweekly newsletter, I would like to share some reminders and news of upcoming events. Please feel free to direct any academic questions to me or my colleagues:
Reminder – Register for Classes
If you are returning to AU next year and haven't yet registered for classes, be sure to do so as soon as possible. If you have earned under 30 credits or need assistance registering, please schedule an appointment with your student success advisor via Handshake or by calling 630-844-6870.
Plus One MBA Graduate Program Summer 2021
Do you have additional athletic eligibility? Are you looking to jump start your career? Aurora University’s MBA Plus One graduate program allows you to complete your MBA in one year. The program begins in June and finishes the following May. This year we are offering four areas of specialization: (i) business management, (ii) digital marketing, (iii) public administration, and (iv) sport management. More information is available online.
Sundays @ 7 Career Conversations
Our final Sundays @ 7 Career Conversations presentation is Sunday, April 18. Michael DeVries ’10, an athletic training graduate, will share his career journey with the AU community. For nearly seven years, DeVries has served as the head athletic trainer for Schaumburg High School, where he oversees the organization and administration of athletic training services. Prior to his current position, he was an athletic trainer at ATI for almost five years, working in a variety of settings. As a Spartan, DeVries played on the football team for four years and was a member of the Spartan Athletic Training Club. He earned his master's degree from Northern Illinois University in pedagogy and curriculum development in 2013, where he also held the role of graduate teaching assistant. He is currently working toward a master’s degree in sports science and rehabilitation from Logan University. Register online.

Founding schools are featured in the Aurora University seal
Our university seal symbolizes a distinct history. The names of the university’s two founding schools, Aurora College and George Williams College, are linked together with the name of the institution that we today call Aurora University. The seal also includes a torch, a book, and a scroll representing a tradition of academic excellence and the university's effort to share the light of knowledge.
