Beaumont Blast 12/18/16

Come support Beaumont in the easiest fundraiser we will do all year. Between December 18th to December 24th bring the attached flyer to the Five Below located in the Gateway Plaza shopping center. Present the flyer when you make your purchase and Beaumont Elementary will received 10% of all purchases that we make during that timeframe.  Last year we received approximately $700.00. Five Below is the perfect place for stocking stuffers, secret santa gifts, tutor and teacher gifts. Don't forget your flyer!!!! Print it out and give it to your family and friends as well. Happy Shopping!!!!

T&E Care supports over 125 local families (including Beaumont families) in need, with the help of BES and other T/E schools. Thank you to Beaumont families who contributed kitchen utensils, baking tools and storage containers in November. T&E Care is also collecting food to provide holiday meals to families on Tuesday, December 20, from 8:30am - 7:00pm, at the home of a T&E Care Volunteer (TBC). If you are interested in donating, please visit the requested food list on SignUpGenius. Local families are also in need of used personal computers and laptops (not Macs), tall dressers and one daybed. If you have any of these items that you no longer need and wish to donate, please contact Thank you for your help. To learn more about how T&E Care helps the community, visit their website. For questions, contact Claudette McCarron, BES T&E Care Representative.

Beaumont subscribes to Reading Connection which is a monthly newsletter from Resources for Educators. Reading Connection delivers tips and activities for parents to support children’s reading, writing, and language development, which are aligned to the Common Core State Standards.  Please check out January's newsletters for Beginning Readers and Intermediate Readers.

Thinking of a holiday gift for your child's teacher? Consider making a donation to Foundations for Learning in Tredyffrin/Easttown (FLITE) in their name. FLITE Staff Tributes can be made online or via mail. Learn about the ways in which FLITE-funded academic programs are helping students in Tredyffrin/Easttown Schools at

Please send in any oral care waste (manual toothbrushes, empty toothpaste tubes, toothpaste/toothbrush packaging, and empty floss boxes), juice pouches and foil-lined bar wrappers for Terracycling this week. Any shipments of these items by the end of the year will earn Beaumont bonus points. The collection bins are located by the greeter's desk and in the cafeteria.

Is your child missing a sweatshirt, water bottle or lunch container? The Lost and Found area has all these items and more. Please stop by and check for any missing items. Any remaining items will be donated to charity over the winter break.

Let’s Bingo! Join us for Pizza Bingo on Friday, January 20, 2017 (click here for the registration flyer).  Our fantastic bingo callers are Mr. Parrotta for the first seating and Mrs. McConaghy for the second seating.  Every child is guaranteed one prize!  Speaking of prizes, we are collecting new prizes (crafts, sports balls, games, toys) in the collection bin in the front lobby.  This is a great way to get rid of that extra stuff you have before the holidays, and to donate unwanted gifts you later receive!  We also need parent volunteers for the event and middle school students to check bingo cards.  Click  to sign up or contact Angie Polizzi at

The annual Beaumont HSA Parent Social is set for Friday February 3, 7-10 p at the Berwyn Tavern. We will be kicking off Super Bowl weekend with a super bowl-themed Social for our parent community. Save the date for a super fun and casual evening! Invitations will be sent out in early January.

As we head indoors with the cold weather, germs can spread more easily. Please see attached flyer for some strategies to prevent the spread of illnesses such as the stomach bug.

It’s that time of year again! Don’t forget to nominate your favorite teacher for the 2017 Citadel Heart of Learning Awards! This award program provides an opportunity to recognize teachers who have made a particular impact on their students, schools and communities. Learn more or submit your nomination at

We have several openings for people to get involved with Beaumont and the HSA, including volunteering and leading one our many committees. Please check the Help Wanted section to the left for our most recent openings. Contact Courtney O'Brien if you are interested. Thank you!

1. Book Fair - We need two additional book fair chairs for the 2017-2018 school year. Please consider joining this fun group to lead the two 📚 book fairs sponsored by the HSA. Both Mary Hashemi and Renee DelViscio will be leaving Beaumont at the end of the school year and will help with the transition.

2. Cultural Arts - For the 2017-2018 school year, we need two volunteers to work together to plan all school assemblies. These people will coordinate schedules, contracts and assembly day details with lead teachers and staff at Beaumont as well as with the assembly providers. Chairs will also attend periodic Delta meetings at Easttown Library. This is a fun and rewarding job that gives chairs an opportunity to bring assemblies into our school and see firsthand the children's enthusiasm and excitement about being exposed to different cultural and art related experiences. Current chairs Alicia Asselta and Lindsey Weber.
