Maine fiddle dance tunes by Hope Hoffman

Tune-of-the-Month
New Maine Fiddle compositions from Hope Hoffman
"Sniffing Snow" jig
composition copyright Hope Hoffman 2008

It's the time of year when thoughts of approaching snow, and manifestations of this anticipated snow, are in the air! Have also been thinking about how dogs measure and commune with the air, and how they go crazy with fun with their faces in snowdrifts.

This tune is very fun to play on the cello (transposed down to fit on the top three strings) with lots of open-string droning.
I often play it for dances in a medley with “Infinite Winter Squash" as the second tune.

Thanks for being part of this Tune-of-the-Month mailing list, sending you sheet music, chords, & audio for Hope Hoffman's original fiddle compositions.

Enjoy!
