We have changed our name! For the last decade we have been the Institute of Theology and Christian Ministry (ITCM) in St Petersburg, Russia. We continue to train, in Russian, through ITCM, Russian servants to minister in Russia , but we have enlarged our mission. Not only do we intend, by God's grace, to teach leaders but we also try to reach those seeking God in Russia through our Russian Bible School and, through our singing program, newsletters and conferences, to edify the scattered congregations throughout Russia, in planting and watering. We are the Christian Resource Center Russia.

Russian Bible School
We give thanks to the Father above for the decisions of students to be immersed into the death of our Lord Jesus. Sergei Komarov from Tyumen is preparing for his baptism. Sergei Subbotin is from Zlatoust, Chelyabinsk region has been studying an introductory course on the basics of the faith and has already begun to work on the next course on practical Christianity. Our studies have helped him to make a decision about his baptism. Irina Zhuchkova is from a small village in the Novgorod region. After studying the subject of baptism, she realized that her infant baptism was incomplete and she has decided to be baptized as a believing adult. The only problem is her health - after an unsuccessful operation she cannot walk and it is difficult for her to move. Although she is quite young. We just received a letter from a prison in Pechera, Komi republic. Valeriy Girnyk has written that five prisoners, including himself, want us to come there and baptize them. They haven’t even studied the Bible yet. We offered them to study the Bible first to see what they understand about the Bible and Christian life.

On May 23 we launched an online course on the Book of James. Our teacher, Dr. James Thompson (ACU) is well known in Russia. He taught in St. Petersburg in 2006 and 2008, and his book “The Church in Exile” has been translated into Russian. Nine students from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania began to study.
Resources for Edification
In our pursuit to teach Russian-speaking congregations to sing acappella, we created a page on our website, where anybody can go, play different parts of hymns and memorize them by listening. It does not even take a music education to do that, which is usually the case. We constantly add songs to that list and now we have almost 90 Russian hymns which can be learned by ear.
If you would like to partner with us in this work of God or learn more about us, please email me at email@example.com or I would be pleased to FaceTime (remember we are at least 9 hours difference here in St Petersburg)!
