Update from Annabel Green, Head of Development and Communications
#HereForCulture
This week marks our 30th newsletter since March. In this weekly update from WMC, we have had the pleasure of sharing some amazing moments with you - from our first Virtual WEYO course in April, to the songs created by our Zone Club, news of our Community Fundraising Appeal, our reopening and more.
In this milestone edition we are able to share the best news yet: that WMC has been successful in its application to the Arts Council's Culture Recovery Fund and has been awarded over £188,000. Together with support through our Community Fundraising Appeal, and the commitment and generosity of our Friends, Angels, volunteers and supporters, this funding will enable us to continue to be #HereForCulture and for our community.
We set out a bold and ambitious plan for the Centre over the next six months in our application and we start delivering on that tonight, as jazz superstars Claire Martin OBE and Nikki Iles perform in our opening concert of our Autumn Winter season and new Livestream concert series. Tickets are still available to watch both at WMC and online. Find out more about how to book below.

£43,000 raised so far towards Community Fundraising Appeal
Reopening the Centre, gradually reintroducing live events and committing to vital community projects would not be possible without donations to the Centre’s Community Fundraising Appeal and the generous support of our Friends, sponsors and supporters. Thank you!
So far we have raised almost £43,000 towards our appeal - we're over 70% of the way there! Now, we need your help to reach our £60,000 target to fulfil our plans to put the community centre stage.
After 30 weeks of 'News just in!' we will be moving to a monthly news cycle to share updates across our work as a concert hall, community centre and concert hall. Live updates and programme highlights will continue to be shared in between.
If you have recently signed up to our mailing list and this is your first communication from us, welcome! You can find previous editions of this weekly newsletter on our website.
Please note that Wiltshire Music Centre is now operating a reduced staff team, working from home so please bear with us as we try to process enquiries as quickly as possible.
