Nominations for NASC Apprentice of the Year Award 2015 Now Open
The NASC Apprentice of the Year – sponsored by both the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS) – is aimed at individuals who are directly employed by an NASC Member company and are either part way through a formal scaffolding apprenticeship with an approved CISRS provider, or alternatively have successfully completed the apprenticeship programme in 2015.
The successful candidate needs to be conscientious, have shown a willingness to learn and develop skills and have gone above and beyond the call of duty whilst working their way through the qualification.
A trophy and cash prize will be awarded to both the winning apprentice and their employer.
The winner will be selected by CITB Scaffolding Specialist Account Co-ordinator, Diane Wood, pictured below with last year’s winner Josh Kerwin of Kaefer C&D.

Last Few Payments for Qualifying The Workforce 2015!
Please note we only need 15 more operatives qualified to CISRS Scaffolder, Advanced Scaffolder or Supervisor to hit our target of 200 qualified operatives for 2015. Once we have achieved our target the programme will close and no further payments will be made. If you have any employees who have recently completed one of these qualification programmes and attained their CISRS card please apply now.

Scaffold Apprentice Trailblazer
NASC are working with CITB in order to develop a Scaffolding apprenticeship programme under the new “Trailblazer” initiative. We do require contracting/employer members to support and take part in the development of the qualification and will be discussing this issue further at the regional meetings in the next few weeks.
