Fall Down on the Trail
The Cumberland Valley Rail Trail Council hosted its annual fall fundraiser - Fall Down on the Trail - on Saturday, September 29th. This year's event was special as it was the inauguration of the Adamantine 5 K Run, so named to honor Newville's Civil War cavalry unit, the Adamantine Guard (featured on one of the new historical marker signs along the trail.)

A good time was had by all on another beautiful fall day on the CVRT! See pictures of the event at left and click here for more pictures and the full results.

Please remember that the CVRT extension corridor from Newville to Carlisle is not yet open for public use.  Please be ESPECIALLY RESPECTFUL of the property along the corridor that is in private ownership. . . Let's be good neighbors!
