Recent Branch News
Earlier this month we ran the first in the NAS's new series of autism seminars for families, entitled 'Understanding Autism' to 6 families over 2 consecutive Tuesday evenings. This was a great opportunity for networking and allowed families to share their experiences and stories while developing their understanding of autism. We have purchased the next seminar which is all about sensory needs and will be looking to deliver this in a similar way shortly - if you are interested please let us know by sending us an email
expressing your interest.
Thankyou to anyone who recently put their green Waitrose tokens into our box - we have received a £200 cheque from the Admiral Park store. We have also recently received donations from several businesses who have raised money on our behalf with dress down days or cake sales. These donations really do help us with our running costs, so please do remember us if you are asked to nominate a charity.

NAS Summer Party
Sunday 14th July
Styx Community Centre
Due to the popularity and huge numbers at our Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Party, we have decided to run our summer party for a slightly longer time, so you can choose whether to turn up early and join us for a BBQ lunch or turn up for a BBQ lunch and then stay on - hopefully this flexibilty will make things a little less congested! We are delighted that staff from JT are once again supporting us with help on the day. Thankyou.
We will have the usual bouncy castles, arts and crafts and toys to keep everyone entertained - so let's just hope for good weather! Our book library will be available for browsing and borrowing.
Please (please!) RSVP to email@example.com
or call/text 07781 122234 stating the number of adults and children who will be attending so that we know how many people to cater for. Please advise of any special dietart requests or if you are a vegetarian.
This will be a free event but all contributions towards costs will be very gratefully received on the day, and if anyone is able to bring some cakes or biscuits they will be hugely apprecitated.
