1. Saltbush Orienteers Cross-country Event – Salt Creek on Sunday July 21st
Travel on the Lincoln Highway towards Cowell for about 60 km and there will be a sign indicating the Scenic Route which veers right from the main highway.
A feature of the event will be the annual relay competition with Lincoln Orienteers, the EP Relays.
Start times for recreational courses: anytime between 10.30am and 1pm, please return to the van by 3pm.
Courses for non-relay entrants will be available to suit all fitness levels.
Remember to have comfortable walking shoes, hat and bring water.
Food will be for sale.
Compasses are available for hire or bring your own.
Coaching is available so please ask at the orienteering van.
No dogs are allowed into the property

2. MTBO Sunday 21 July at Kuitpo
Kuitpo 3 hr score event where you find as many controls as possible in any order. Ideal for newcomers. Can ride solo, pairs or groups.
Rego from 9.45am; map release 10.10, start 10.30. Enter by midnight Wed July 17th either via https://eventor.orienteering.asn.au/Events/Show/8726

with entrant names & pay on the day.
Suitable for mountain and cyclocross bikes, E-bikes also welcome, no pre-payment required.
Revised MTBO map of Kuitpo by Henry Rutherford.
Henry has made use of the latest single tracks as well as updating all tracks to prepare for a great event for all abilities.
The waterproof map will be double sided A3 at 1:15000 giving a big area but also easy to read the details.
The map is worth the entry alone and will be useful for other rides in the future.

3. OSA Survey on the Twilight and Sprint Series Format
OSA is inviting all interested orienteers to provide feedback on the Twilight and Sprint Series, with the focus on the Twilight Series. The link to the survey is the quick links at the top of the home page on the OSA web site at http://sa.orienteering.asn.au
The survey is open until Sunday evening 11th

4. New Permanent Courses in South Parklands
New permanent orienteering courses have just been opened at Blue Gum Park (P20)/Kurangga. The start/finish is just to the west of Tree Climb on the north side of Greenhill Road. Thanks to Adrian Uppill for all his work in establishing these courses.

5. OSA Coaching Scholar
The 2019/20 OSA Coaching Scholar is Evelin Brautigam from USA. She will be arriving in SA in early September, and will probably be here until April 2020.
As in previous years OSA would like to provide here with a car, so we need our members help. If you have a car that will be available for some or all of that period, can you please notify Bridget Anderson (email@example.com) and Robin Uppill (firstname.lastname@example.org). OSA will contribute to car registration and 3rd party/property insurance and car servicing for any period for which the car is provided.
6. The Queensland MTBO Champs
& round 2 of the national Series is being held on 31 Aug- 1st Sept at Killarney, 2.5 hours south of Brisbane.
A good chance to head north and get some Queensland sunshine, with sprint, middle & long events on the 2 day program.

This bulletin contains all the details on the event centre, race locations and the courses on offer for you to get your entry in.
Entry is now open via Eventor and there’s Early Bird entry rates, for those quick off the mark, so jump to it!
7. AUS-NZL MTBO Challenge - nominations open
Nominations are now open for this year’s challenge team.
The challenge will be run in conjunction with the Australian MTBO Championships at Maryborough, VIC from 25-27th October.
NZOF have nominated W21, W40, W60, M21, M40, M50, M60 & M70 as the classes they wish to contest.
