The Tech Theme!
In case you haven’t heard, we released a new theme, the Tech Theme. It’s a dark and sleek theme design meant to appeal to businesses and blogs within the tech related industries. The theme contains several new features, and you can check out the demo here.
New features include:
Options Framework
The first of our themes to integrate with the Options Framework plugin, which offers a much more sleek theme options interface.
Featured Content Slider
The featured content slider for the Tech Theme can display an unlimited amount of slides with a featured image or a featured video.
Google Fonts
The theme is the first of ours to use Google Font integration, adding to the sleek design.
Featured Videos
The Tech Theme is capable of displaying featured videos within the slider, homepage blog, category pages and even the portfolio page template.
Featured Image Banners
Featured images can now be added to pages and page templates to be displayed as a banner image for that particular page.
Tweet and Like Buttons
Tweet and Facebook Like buttons have been seamlessly integrated in to the homepage blog within the Tech Theme.
Display Options
We have added display options to the theme, allowing as little or as much content as desired to be displayed on the homepage.
The Health and Beauty Theme Receives A Makeover!
Organic Themes has given our Health and Beauty Theme a total makeover. The theme was among the first themes we created here at Organic Themes. We felt the design and functionality was becoming outdated. Rather than retiring the theme, we gave it a makeover. In fact, it's practically a new theme. Featured images can now be added to pages and page templates to be displayed as a banner image for that particular page.
Structure Theme Update
Organic Themes has updated our popular Structure Theme with new features. Version 2.1.4 includes a new featured content slider — capable of displaying images or video. Video can be added to the slider by pasting the embed code within the Featured Video field of the post editor. In addition, there are new portfolio page templates, video display functionality was added to the homepage blog and category pages, and minor style updates were made to the theme.
In addition to the updated premium version of the Structure Theme, we have updated the free version of the theme for the first time in over a year. The free version now includes WordPress 3.0 features such as the custom header, background editor, menu management, featured image support and more. With the latest updates to the free version of the Structure Theme, it is sure to remain one of the best free WordPress themes available!
