Multipurpose Prevention Technologies and Self-Care

In a new post for the Contraceptive Technology Innovation Exchange's Beginning with the End in Mind series, authors from CAMI health argue that research and development (R&D) of multipurpose prevention technologies (MPTs) has the potential to expand self-care options in the sexual and reproductive health space and increase accessibility and acceptability of both contraception and HIV/STI prevention. Read the full post here.

Contraceptive-Induced Menstrual Changes Global Research & Learning Agenda

In November 2020, global stakeholders convened for an online technical consultation on contraceptive-induced menstrual changes (CIMCs). Since then, FHI 360 has convened a global, multidisciplinary CIMC Task Force to draft research and learning agendas focused on this issue. The new CIMC Global Research and Learning Agenda (RLA) was launched during a dissemination event on November 16, 2021. The recording of the dissemination meeting and the full CIMC Research & Learning Agenda can be accessed here.

Recording Available: Integrating Social Norms Research into Contraceptive R&D

On November 10, 2021 the CTI Exchange hosted a discussion with social norms experts and contraceptive developers. This panel shed light on how and why social norms research can be important and useful for those working in contraceptive R&D, especially in ensuring that products are acceptable and accessible for the populations we are trying to reach. The full webinar recording as well as a list of resources focused on social norms research are provided here
