Tired?

Go for a walk.

Bored?

Go for a walk.

Sad?

Go for a walk.

Stressed?

Go for a walk.

You get the idea…

Walking does wonders for your mind, body, and soul.

You get to go outside for some fresh air and also get a brisk workout in. You don’t have to walk for miles.

A short walk around the block or down the street is enough to get your blood flowing and your heart rate up.

You’d be surprised at how you’ll feel afterward.

Research shows exercise can help people with depression because it releases feel-good brain chemicals such as endorphins. It can also improve self-esteem, through better body image or achieving goals, as well as relieving feelings of isolation which can fuel mental illness.

I’m one of those people who rarely get headaches. Because of that, I don’t take Tylenol or Ibuprofen so when I do get headaches, I go for a ten-minute walk.

And nine times out of ten, the headache will be gone.

I’m not saying it’ll work for everyone but getting outside and moving your body a little will go a long way (pun intended).
