Learning Circle Placement forms are due September 15. Learning Circles are highly interactive, project-based partnerships among a small number of schools located throughout the world. Over 15 weeks, you'll have a chance to work with a small number of classrooms from around the world on a Learning Circle theme of your choice. In addition to hands on support throughout the session, educators have access to a comprehensive Learning Circles Teachers Guide.  To participate in an iEARN Learning Circle, educators must first be registered in iEARN, and then fill out a special Learning Circles Placement Form.

Register for the 2015 Holiday Card Exchange Project

Holiday Cards in UkraineWant to exchange holiday cards with classes from around the world?  Classes that sign up for the project by October 31 will be placed in a group with approximately seven other schools and will prepare either handmade or purchased cards to send to each of the other schools using snail (postal) mail between October and December.  Students are invited to make Christmas, New Year's, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Eid, or other cards celebrating their special holidays, and to explain how their family and their community celebrates, the type of food that is eaten, and other traditions associated with the event.  Register as soon as possible, but no later than October 31, on the Holiday Exchange Project Group on the iEARN Collaboration Centre.

Famous Buildings Around the World Project

Famous BuildingsJoin us as we study unique and important buildings across the globe! We are excited to learn about the remarkable buildings in your country. Participating classes will share photos, information, and personal connections about a significant building in their country.  As groups share information, we hope to create a dialogue with additional questions and comments. We will learn more about the world through our study of these noteworthy structures.  Get involved in the Famous Buildings Around the World Project on the Collaboration Centre.

Beauty of the Beasts Project

Beauty of the Beasts Class ActivityJoin a celebration of nature through the eyes of students from around the world. "Beauty of the Beasts" is a global project inviting students to capture the grandeur and magnificence of animals indigenous to their areas through original artwork and poetry.  Artwork and poetry must be the student's original masterpiece... their own interpretation of the beauty and uniqueness of these marvelous creatures. All art mediums and poetry styles are acceptable.  Students may participate in either art or poetry divisions, or are welcome to submit work in both. All languages welcome.  Connect in the Beauty of the Beasts Project on the Collaboration Centre.

Our Story Book Project

Our Story Book Project‘’Our Story Book’’ is a project to collect different ideas from diverse culture and countries to complete one amazing story. Students can contribute their ideas to the story, and also learn from others’ opinion.  The project will run twice a year for 8 weeks.  A completed story will be finished by 5 countries (groups). Each group can create two pages of the story, including words and images (by painting, drawing or any other way of creating images). Once you finish your part, you will send them to the project facilitator who will help deliver the story to the next project partner next week and post on the project space. After the story book is completed, there will be an online webinar for all the participants to share their ideas and an online exhibition will be hosted on the iEARN website.  Connect in the Our Story Book Project on the Collaboration Centre.

One Day in the Life Project

One Day in the LifeOne Day in the Life is a project in which students exchange text, video, and images depicting days in their lives, and then make cross-cultural comparisons. Students may discuss aspects of a typical day (like visiting the market or going to school) or they may document special days (like vacations, birthdays, celebrations, or holidays.)  While writing is often an important component of student participation, language proficiency is not required. One Day in the Life Project facilitators will also help to facilitate partnership matches for classes that would like to work directly with one other class in the project.  The project forum has recently been refreshed and project topics and themes are posted and awaiting your responses!  Connect in the One Day in the Life Project Group on the iEARN Collaboration Centre.
