UTOPIAN Paving Path for Research in Family Medicine and Primary Care

A great boss, one that inspires their staff and makes them feel appreciated, isn’t always easy to find. So when Lindy Chan heard about the Arthur Awards, given out each year by CBC radio personality Stuart McLean on his show Vinyl Café in recognition of acts of kindness that often go unnoticed, she jumped at the chance to recognize her boss of 5 years, Dr. Eva Grunfeld.

Quality Improvement Elearning Modules Gain International Audiences
To support skill & knowledge acquisition on quality improvement, the DFCM Quality Improvement Program launched a series of e-learning modules and videos this fall.

Since their launch, the modules have been picked up across Canada for teaching purposes with potential for use in international curriculums. Educators have noted the pace, depth of content and ease of viewing are factors in choosing the modules.

DFCM Open is a repository of peer-reviewed, evidence-based, family physician focused tools and resources that are clinical, educational or research oriented in nature. It is aimed at family physicians and primary care professionals but anyone can access these resources. 
Primary Care Quality Improvement Measurement Modules
This series of e-learning modules and videos offers concise training on measurement in primary care quality improvement in an animated, live-draw format.
DFCM Quality Improvement Program
Vaginal Bleeding in the Second Trimester EM E-learning Module
This module will discuss a diagnostic approach to patients presenting with second trimester vaginal bleeding.
